Jagr is a nice addition for the hated Bruins. He can still play on the side wall and keep the puck down low, and still has a rocket of a shot. He'll be the most help for Boston on the PP, imo. Their PP has looked dreadful again this year, Jagr already has 6PPG which would lead the Bruins, 2nd closest having only 3 PPG this year, that's awful. He'll be a presence on the PP that teams will have to focus on, which should free up some room for others, plus he's got great puck skills and like I already said, still has a canon of a shot.

OK, got a couple of issues with what you said....
first... Bruins are hated????

AND, their powerplay has been remarkably consistent over the past few years..

but really, not a bad pickup, he is better than the pandolfos and carons of the world.

I hate them, as do most Leaf and Hab fans, i'm sure a lot of Ottawa and Buffalo fans don't really enjoy the black and yellow that much either. You're right about Bostons PP, it's been consisten...ly...bad....

This move should help out though.

No I just don't want to see Bruins fans go through such heartache like they had to endure last week.

As a last step on the Jagr trade, the NHL league office has required Jagr to call Iginla first before finalizing trade. Uh-oh

Any idea of who the Bruins gave up prospect wise? Khokhlachev?

I like them a whole lot more than Pittsburgh. It's tough to play against them, but I 'll cheer for them above many teams, they have players I like. Also, Jagr on them seems like a good fit to me, who is another player i like.

Nick Kypreos is speculating that it's the exact same deal as the Iggy deal but will confirm in a bit

Khoklachev,Bartkowski and a 2nd. Could be a 1st if you win the cup I think but that will all work itself out once it becomes official.

Pretty good bet that he will be playing with Krejci. Have a history together with the Czech national team.

I hate the team as a whole, but i'd absolutely love a few of their players on Toronto obviously. Lucic when he is on his game is one my favourite players in the entire NHL to watch. Bergeron is a beast and one of the most underrated players in the league right now. Chara is still probably the hardest D to play against right now, so ya they have a lot of fun players to watch but sucks when you get dominated by them for 2 years straight. Ah well, gotta look on the bright side, Toronto in the playoffs picture
